 Heartsaver First Aid Course

2-Year American Heart Association Certification – Same Day Certification Card!

The Heartsaver First Aid Course covers:

  • Basic First Aid

Heartsaver First Aid is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.

This class teaches First Aid only, CPR is NOT included.

The student manual is included in the price of the course.The AHA requires that you posess a current Student Manual for the course during and after the class.  If you already have the current Student Manual for Heartsaver First Aid, please bring it with you to class to recieve a $5 refund. Student Manuals will not be mailed in advance. 

The current Student Manual was released in April 2016.

The current Student Manual Number is 15-1018.

Bloodborne Pathogen Add-On

If you'd like to add Bloodborne Pathogen to your certification, check the add-on below. The whole course is done online(there is no in-person skills check) and you will be sent the keycode in the confirmation email. 

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Online Course
The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Who should take this course?
The AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as: Correctional Officers, Childcare workers, Security guards, Maintenance workers, School personnel, Hotel housekeepers, Health and fitness club staff, and Tattoo artists.
