This Class Has Two Parts:

  • Part 1: Online portion (Can be completed in approximately 3-4 hours based on experience).
As soon as you register, you will receive a registration email which includes a link to take the online course for your class. This must be completed before the hands-on portion.
  • Part 2: A hands-on skills session with one of our AHA authorized CPR instructors.
Please reply to the registration email to set up a day and time to conduct the hands-on portion in our office in La Mirada.

The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver Online Course is web-based and accessible 24 hours a day. It provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.

Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session with an AHA Heartsaver Instructor through Save A Life CPR. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. An AHA Heartsaver CPR & AED course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all two parts within 60 days of the online course purchase.

Students may access all material included in the Heartsaver CPR & AED Online program for 24 months following initial activation of their course key. This replaces the hard copy of the student manual.
